"the Nocturnus Series: various wall mounted lamps" - wood, gilding, isinglass, and assorted electronics

These lamps started as salvaged antique radio cabinets. Typically, they are in very bad shape: the radio electronics are missing, the surface veneers are peeling, the plywoods are delaminated, and the carcass joinery is failing in multiple places.

After cutting them in half and repairing all the woodwork, the repurposing begins: the inserts are gilded in brass, functional gauges are added with new lighting and rotary switch electrical components, and the whole exterior is painted and glazed. Isinglass is used where the speaker grill originally resided.

These pieces mount on the wall using a French Cleat, and typically function as hallway nightlights.
